STATE COUNSELLING PROCESS

State Counseling Authority (State DME)

The state counselling held by each individual state medical council for the 85% of the seats in the government colleges, state run universities and the private medical colleges of the state. Only students who qualify in NEET will be eligible for the counselling subject to State rule and regulations.

A Counseling Committee is constituted by the Concerned State DME for admission in MBBS and BDS in their respective State by all the States, so that 85% Government seats in their respective State and Private Medical College in all seats on NEET Score. The candidates who are residents of the state can take admission in the Government and Private Medical Colleges of their own state.

  • Admission under State Quota Seats shall be subject to reservation policy and eligibility criteria prevailing in the State/Union Territory as notified by the respective State/Union Territory from time to time.
  • The reservation of the seats in medical colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in the State/Union Territory concerned.
  • Admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses in Private Medical Colleges shall be subject to policies of the Government of India/State/Union Territory

Eligibility Condition for State Quota

  • The Candidate should have qualified NEET UG
  • State Domicile/Residency Mandatory
  • Admission under State Quota Seats shall be subject to reservation policy and eligibility criteria prevailing in the State/Union Territory as notified by the respective State/Union Territory from time to time.
  • The reservation of the seats in medical colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in the State/Union Territory concerned.
  • Admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses in Private Medical Colleges shall be subject to policies of the Government of India/State/Union Territory

There will be four rounds of State online counseling

  • SQ Round 1
  • SQ Round 2
  • SQ Round 3 (earlier known as Mop-Up Round)
  • SQ Stray Vacancy Round (online mode/Offline Mode)

Important Pont for Admission Process

  • All NEET Qualified and eligible candidates are required to register on the Counselling website to participate in the counselling process for allotment of seat.
  • A candidate can submit NEET-UG Counselling application/registration form only once.
  • Any candidate found to have submitted more than one application/registration form for NEET-UG Counselling shall be debarred from NEET-UG Counselling allotment process, his/her candidature shall be cancelled.
  • The information regarding Stipend /fee structure/ course duration / bond amount / rendering of service in rural / tribal area/other conditions etc. has been provided by Medical Colleges. Counselling Authorized no responsibility regarding the above information including Fees/ Bond/ Mode of Payment or any typographical error/ data etc.
  • Candidates are advised to confirm the fee structure/ any other additional fee or hidden charges from the colleges especially Private Colleges before filling up choices for the same. Some colleges might have high fee structure, therefore confirmation about the fee should be made before hand, and DGHS takes no responsibility of the fee structure of the colleges and will not entertain any request or complaint regarding Fee Structure.
  • Then all the successful Registration Candidate follow the Round wise counseling properly.
