As per the information brochure and the latest guidelines, NEET counselling is broadly of two types. One is the All India counselling conducted by DGHS for 15% All India Quota seats in government medical colleges and all seats in Central Institutions including AIIMS, JIPMER, AFMC, ESI, Delhi University (DU), BHU, AMU, and Deemed Universities.
This committee has been constituted by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India for admission in MBBS, BDS, and PG and it is a Centralized counseling committee. In this, the admission process is completely online, that is, from registration to seat allotment, all the processes are online only. In this, the students of all the states of All India are eligible for admissions who have qualified NEET irrespective of the state they belong to.
Admission is given for MBBS and BDS in these Medical Institutions by MCC.

There will be four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and Stray Vacancy Round. All the 4 rounds shall be conducted online by MCC as per the directions the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India vide order dated 12.12.2022.
There will be no reservation for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PWD/EWS candidates in Deemed Universities.
he state counselling held by each individual state medical council for the 85% of the seats in the government colleges, state run universities and the private medical colleges of the state. Only students who qualify in NEET will be eligible for the counselling subject to State rule and regulations.
A Counseling Committee is constituted by the Concerned State DME for admission in MBBS and BDS in their respective State by all the States, so that 85% Government seats in their respective State and Private Medical College in all seats on NEET Score. The candidates who are residents of the state can take admission in the Government and Private Medical Colleges of their own state.
Admission under State Quota Seats shall be subject to reservation policy and eligibility criteria prevailing in the State/Union Territory as notified by the respective State/Union Territory from time to time.
The reservation of the seats in medical colleges for respective categories shall be as per applicable laws prevailing in the State/Union Territory concerned. Admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses in Private Medical Colleges shall be subject to policies of the Government of India/State/Union Territory
A Counseling Committee is constituted by the Concerned State DME for admission in MBBS and BDS in their respective Private Colleges, so that some % seats in their Private Medical College permission to other state students admission on NEET Score Basic. The candidates who are out side the state can take admission in the Private Medical Colleges in their state.
Admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses in Private Medical Colleges shall be subject to policies of the Government of India/State/Union Territory.
