About MBBS:

Eligibility for MBBS Admission
Qualifying Exam : NEET- National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.
Admissions to all seats of Undergraduate Medical / Dental Courses will be done through NEET (UG) Qualify Marks.
NEET Category wise Qualified Mark
Eligible for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses (MBBS) for a particular academic year in case of General, General-EWS, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum of marks at 50th percentile in NEET(National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test) to Undergraduate Medical Courses held for the said academic year. However, in respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at the 40th percentile. In respect of candidates with Pwd specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile for Unreserved Category & GEN-EWS Category candidates and 40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates.
- The percentile shall be determined on the basis of highest marks secured in the All India common merit list in National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for admission to Undergraduate Medical Courses.
NEET Eligibility Qualifying Exam : 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as core subject in both Classes 11 and 12 from a recognized board.
12th Qualifying Marks for NEET Exam: GENERAL (UR) – 50%, OBC/SC/ST – 40%, PWD – 45% (minimum aggregate marks only for PCB subjects)
NEET Age Requirement : Shall have a minimum age of 17 years as on December 31 of the year of admission : No upper age limit. He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Course
Nationality : Indian Nationals, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs & Foreign Nationals

MBBS Admission Process
All the medical colleges in India will take admissions on the basis of NEET marks and All India Ranks Basis. Candidates who have qualified the exam can start preparing for All India and State level NEET counselling sessions for the admission of MBBS/BDS Courses. No direct admission in College/University level.
Counselling Process
Counseling is to allot seats to the MBBS and BDS seats in India according to the merit and choice of the student. Those who have the right to allot seats through counseling are called counseling authority.
Type of counseling
There are three types of Counseling Authority for MBBS and BDS Admission in India. Students who want to take admission in MBBS and BDS can register for these three counseling. Admission in MBBS and BDS by these three counseling authorities will be on NEET score but for counseling registration will have to be done separately.
1) MCC ( Medical Counseling Committee )
2) State Counseling Authority ( State DME )
3) Open State Counselling (for Private MBBS/BDS Admission)
- The NEET UG Counselling for successful candidates under 15% All India Quota seats and all seats of Deemed Universities/Central Universities/Seats of ESIC & AFMC including Delhi University (DU), BHU & AMU will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for admission to MBBS and BDS Courses .
- The counselling for admission to the seats under the control of State Governments/ UT Administrations / State Universities/ Institutions shall be conducted by the designated authorities of the State Governments as per the notifications issued separately by the authorities concerned.

.N.B : Candidate may kindly note that registering for NEET-UG Counselling does not confer any automatic rights to secure an Under Graduate seat. The selection and admission to Under Graduate seats in any medical Institution recognized for running Under Graduate courses as per Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 is subject to fulfilling the merit, admission criteria, eligibility, and such criteria as may be prescribed by the respective universities, medical institutions, Medical Council of India, State/Central Government.

- A candidate can submit NEET-UG Counselling Correct application/registration form only once. Any candidate found to have submitted more than one application/registration form for NEET-UG Counselling shall be debarred from NEET-UG Counselling allotment process, his/her candidature shall be cancelled and further action as deemed appropriate by the MCC of DGHS, MoHFW shall be taken.
